Welcome to Ziel Therapy

Navigating the sticky parts of life can feel overwhelming, isolating, or deeply confusing.

My work is grounded in the belief that no one should have to walk through those moments alone. I am passionate about supporting people through grief in all its forms; from the subtle losses that come with change, to the deep pain of losing someone close.

Whether you’re adjusting to a new season of life, managing family transitions, or simply trying to find your footing again, my goal is to offer a safe, steady space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard.

Working within the department for over a decade has shaped the way I support clients today as a counsellor: with compassion, perspective, and an understanding of the complex realities people face. I now continue my work as a counsellor alongside completing further psychology studies, bringing together evidence-informed practice with a human, grounded approach.

At the heart of my practice is connection. I believe in walking alongside you - not leading from the front or pushing from behind - but moving together at a pace that supports healing, clarity, and growth. My work is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you make sense of where you are, and where you want to be.

My Services

I offer a range of support services designed to meet you where you’re at; whether you’re navigating a life transition, experiencing grief, or looking to take purposeful steps forward. My approach is grounded, respectful, and tailored to your needs, with a strong focus on family wellbeing, women’s emotional health, and community connection.

Please note: I currently work with adults aged 18 years and over.

Counselling Services

Counselling is a collaborative, client-centred process. You are the expert in your own life. My role is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore thoughts, feelings, and choices in your own time and in your own way. This work respects your autonomy, honours your values, and supports your emotional wellbeing.

Grief Counselling

Grief counselling is available for adults and includes support for all forms of loss, including the loss of a loved one, relationship changes, life transitions, and non-death-related grief.

Support is also available for those:

  • caring for someone who is chronically and/or terminally ill

  • adjusting to identity shifts and role changes

  • experiencing grief tied to changes in lifestyle, family structure, or future expectations

Every experience of grief is unique. Together, we explore what has changed, what it means for you, and how to move forward with compassion and steadiness.

Families

Family life brings both joy and complexity. I support individuals navigating:

  • Integration support — Adjusting to new family dynamics such as welcoming a new sibling (as a parent), navigating new partnerships, or blending families.

  • Separation support — Exploring child-centred approaches and co-parenting decisions, supporting emotional transitions, and strengthening communication.

  • Grief and change in family life — Including the loss of a loved one, significant transitions, or shifts in roles and routines.

Counselling offers space to understand your own experience, respond with clarity, and support your family’s wellbeing in meaningful ways.

Women

This is a reflective and empowering space for women navigating identity, self-image, and change. Areas of support include:

  • Body image and self-worth

  • Empty nesting and rediscovery of self

  • Grief and identity change — including the loss of roles, relationships, or future expectations

  • Health and lifestyle transitions

  • Emotional overload, stress, and internal pressures

Women often carry many roles at once. Counselling provides a steady, grounded space to think, feel, process, and grow; with support that honours your pace and personal agency.

1:1 Coaching (Personal and Professional)

Coaching is a future-focused, strengths-based space for people ready to set goals, build confidence, and take meaningful action.

This service supports you to:

  • Clarify your goals or values

  • Navigate personal or professional transitions

  • Build motivation, direction, and self-trust

  • Take intentional steps toward change

Coaching is not therapy or a clinical service. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If deeper emotional or psychological support is needed, counselling or psychology services may be more appropriate.

1:1 Parent Coaching

Parent coaching is a supportive space for caregivers who want to strengthen connection, build emotional insight, and approach parenting with greater confidence and calm. This service draws on a broad range of professional knowledge and experience - including general familiarity with frameworks such as the University of Melbourne’s Tuning into Kids - but it is not a Tuning into Kids program, nor is it delivered as TIK content.

Parent coaching helps you:

  • Understand your child’s emotional world more clearly

  • Strengthen communication and connection

  • Reflect on your own patterns and responses

  • Develop a calmer, more confident approach to parenting

While I do not work directly with children or adolescents, I support parents and caregivers (18+) to build their own emotional capacity and parenting skills in ways that feel grounded, practical, and aligned with their values.
